Crepusculum Mirable out now through MESS

As the last remaining vestiges of light sink beneath the horizon and the stars are uncloaked from their firmament a dark journey begins.

Crepusculum Mirable is an expedition into creeping psychedelics and the depths of hardcore experimentalism.

Layered atmospherics guided by a pulsating drum and punctuated breaks set a strange but warming tone. Things soon escalate and the warmth is juxtaposed by a cacophony of icy-cold industrial poly-rhythms and heavily processed drums without consequence. Crepusculum Mirabile explores the cinematic composition against extreme percussive sampling and rhythmic noise.

Crepusculum Mirable was created during the Professional Development Residency at MESS in Melbourne 2021.

Crepusculum Mirabile expands Bacchus Harsh’s sound with the introduction of the Steiner-Parker Synthacon monophonic analog synthesizer built between 1975 & 79 paired with the Black Corporation's Deckard's Dream MkII synthesizer built in 2018. These two synths provide a textural atmosphere in contrast to the expanding rhythm of saturated 808s and heavily processed drum patterns.
